The creation of a heritage trail around the village is a long-held ambition of the Civic Society - and we're pleased to say we're close to making it a reality. 

The Cheadle Heritage Trail will outline the rich history of our village through a series of information boards that help bring Cheadle's history to life.

Every board will highlight the story of a place, building or person that has contributed to our shared story - from historic landmarks to memorable characters.

There’s no set route - you will be able to simply wander at your own pace and enjoy discovering Cheadle’s past as it reveals itself around every corner.

Our hope is that whether people are exploring the village for the first time or rediscovering the place they call home, they will simply enjoy the journey.

The trail has been made possible thanks to support from the Northern Trains Community Project Fund, the Manchester Airport Community Trust Fund and Jonathan Alcock & Sons Ltd.
